So you've got a new project and you are dying to dig into it, huh? Well, before you touch it, there are some tips and tricks you ought to know before you blow it all apart and end up getting lost in a project you can't ever finish. We have another new episode this weekend where Stacey shows you those tips and tricks as he rolls in a Classic '67 Mercury Cougar and starts methodically taking it apart to prepare it for some wild modifications down the road. If you are considering a project, or are already deep into one, you have got to see this show. :cool:

Cool! Yeah, his chuckle/manor can be kind of goofy, but the show is engaging/entertaining for sure.

We are going to have fun with this car folks, it is going to be one of the most significant Cougar restomod builds ever done. Stacey has signed up for an account here at MC.net so I will not steel the thunder. He wants to get some input from you guys, stay tuned!

Awwwwwwwsume!!!

Hey Stacey, I'm using the Copperhead paint on my '87 Jimmy!
If it's a give-away car send it my way. (nudge, nudge, say no more!)

Wow, starting w/ a really solid 40K std '67....

....from So Calif. Tiffany blue, black interior, 289 auto w/ A/C.

I am curious as to how he obtained this car from So Cal. Possibly Don assisted him.

It got a little scary when he started reviewing all of the stuff under its rear seat. Never know what you'll find under the back seat of a 40+ yr old merc.

That was a big tease! I wanted to see more. I'm sure the next shows are going to be awesome. Just goes to show there are alot of nice cars still out there.

I liked the part when he said it was a little old granny's car hence the robins egg blue color. Thats the biggest reason why I changed the color on my G. I think I'm gonna like this show. I hope he does a kick butt resto mod, but yet keep it sort of period. So Stacey hear this, NO CLOWN CAR WHEELS!!!!

Gonna be a great series. Bet a lot of you wish you started with a car that clean. I started with a car that spent it's life in Arizona and it sure makes life easier. Really looking forward to up-coming showz............. Jim

I don't ever remember Stacey putting ridiculously large tires on a car. Trucks are a different story but I don't think you could ever go too large on a truck.

Here we go what a treat. I pop on to the forum after reading that Stacy was going to be doing a 67. In one motion I grab the remote and check my dvr recordings. Not only is it a gears episode but one with a 67 cougar. Wow. Pretty stock car. I mean really stock. Can't wait for the next episodes.

Headed down to TN tomorrow to do some taping, wish I could divulge what they are planning for this beast... Hint, think 600HP and 180 MPH! Here is what Stacey said today;

"The Cougar project debuted last week and the response was incredible. People are coming out of the woodwork saying how they always have loved these cars and are glad someone is finally doing one. The best part Don is they have no idea how Cool and Nasty this thing is really going to be!"
