Tempted at any price, more likely to buy under 500.

Heck, I just sold my like new low profile dual quad for 175......

...and I doubt there is that much market for them to be honest.
So true about a lot of parts for our cars, but then, guess that is part of what makes me like them, they and their parts are sometimes fairly uncommon things...

Dang it Don, couldn't you have waited until after X-Mas to post this!?!?!?! I need time for my credit card to cool off.....
Maybe you just need to upgrade to the new water cooled Visa!
>>>>so much for not feeding the bears! Make a nice Xmas snack tray! Slab -o- glass over the top - O Yeah! Nice!

Way back in 1984....

I saw one of these at a swap meet in 1984! (right after I had just bought my 1st 1967 289 Cougar). The asking price was $100. I passed on buying it, because I could buy a brand new Edelbrock Intake manifold at the local speed shop for $110. Guess you could say, I should of bought it back then, huh?

OK I understand the whole collectible thing, probably more so than most. But for some reason I just can't seem to get my head around collecting car parts. Parts are meant to be bolted on your car and used!

Very weird that I can't seem to accept this. I've dealt with people that collect the strangest things you've ever heard of. Including a lady that went around to old houses and collected pieces of linoleum.
That's a super cool item to have or to use.
I think it's neat to collect rare engine parts. I never did it, but I had considered putting an ad in Hemmings (pre Internet days) for damaged rare parts. Tunnel port heads, SOHC Heads, Boss 429 heads, Cross Boss intakes, etc.,. I was hoping to get stuff real cheap and just maybe set it on top of my TV or who knows where. Wouldn't that be cool, a 427 SOHC head on top of your TV? A Cross Boss intake just sitting around in your garage?
One time I bought a set of 4v heads for my 2v Cleveland. They never made it to the engine, but I thought they looked really cool sitting in my living room. I was 21 and single. Maybe that's why I'm still single :) I think I displayed them for 2 years until I sold em.
NCCC member Chuck Mosley had a set of tunnel port heads in his shop in the late 80s or early 90s. They looked so cool sitting on that shelf. They kind of make a positive statement about the owner and his expertise.

Good question! I actually have the green original price sheet taken from a binder filed somewhere, will have to post the prices of this, the oil pan and other goodies next time I come across it.

Group II Cougar

Perhaps I'm mistaken (it happens) but didn't the 67 Group II race Cougars have dual 4 barrels?
Also they had a "all on or all off clutch" (I read that somewhere).

Its been a long time folks!

I wonder why there are no repros? You can buy brand new intakes like this with either the Cobra or Tiger lettering. I bet the vendor would be glad to tool up for a Cougar version.
