Andy, the 126 is a Julian date stamp for the day of the year. In this instance, the 126 is the 126th day. The 1 is the year, perhaps for 1981, '91, 2001 or 2011. Is there a casting number on the carb. That would help to narrow down the year. John

 

Well being as how i traded for it back in the '80, I am guessing that it is an '81 model. Thanks for the info.

Now I think I have enough info to sell it. It is way too big for my 302.

I just got a response to my request from the folks at holley for a date of "birth" for this beast. it was made on the 126th (May 6 I think) day of 1971. Thats kinda cool as I didnt think it was that old. I need to sell it so I can buy something smaller. Any ideas how much I should ask for it? It hasnt been used since the early 80's.
