I was driving my Cougar tonight and the shifter handle no longer will shift the car into or out of gear. I fought with it for 20 minutes to get out of neutral :angryfi: and then i only had reverse and park. What looks like happened is my shifter assembly thing the rround piece with the handle going through it is longer on the spring or gear selector piece on my steering column. The car still shifts i just cant select any gears. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
