how come when i turn on my AC on the car and punch the gas, it seems like the car is faster or making more power than it is otherwise?? Hell it even gets rubber easier when shifting from 1st to 2nd. is the extra load on the engine making the secondaries open more/earlier? am i just crazy? does my carb need some tuning and the extra load is making the secondaries open more and giving it the extra air/fuel that the engine is craving?? im lost as to an explanation for this.

Stumped

I can think of nothing to account for this. My jeep idles up with air on but definately has lass power.

This is a good puzzler.

Your idle is higher because the idle bump kicks on when the ac is switched on. It sounds like it might be adjusted a little too high.
