Anybody know where these "hash marks" go on the rear shock (S?) And what direction and length?

Thanks!

Brian, I thought the rear shocks just got a paint daub. Do you mean the hash marks for the rear leaf springs? John

Ditto - Paint daub on shocks and the "hash marks" go at the shackle end of the leaf springs. Usually about 1/2 to 3/4" wide across the width of the spring. They should be sloppy! The color codes can be found in the Ford parts book.

Thanks for the help, guys..Yes, I was just talking about the "daub" on the shocks..I've got that build sheet copy you helped me with, Jim..almost done with the springs!

As for the white daub (someone reminded me about it and called it a hashmark)-I was just making sure it was to go on the bottom rear of the rear shocks?

If I'm wrong, chime in...:) Gratcie' !

Thanks John,

Should I put them just on the bottom side of the spring, or on both sides, btw?
