Im taking our 68I back to original parchment/ivy gold from it current black. Im looking for some vinyl dye for some soft interior that is in good shape. The catalogs list two, light ivy gold and dark ivy gold, both listed as correct for 68. The carpet in catalog is obviously light ivy and the only option, but the heel pad looks quite a bit darker. Did Ford/Mercury use both in same year, if so, what should be what? Did they make a color changee after a particular date? If so when and which color was first/second? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

Coach66, is this a standard HT or XR7? What is the TRIM code on the data tag on the drivers door? John

Standard hardtop with deluxe interior. The Marti report shows parchment interior with ivy gold appointments. The car is currently at body shop having some rust cut out and replaced and paint. It was a late 681968 build (July).

Since your car is not an XR-7, the light ivy gold is the one that you want for the appointments. The dark ivy gold was for XR-7 leather interiors only. Glad to hear that you're taking it back to the original interior colors!
