I want to order a Transpak from B&M and when I narrow my search by 67 Cougar 289 it shows a C6. Is that correct? I thought they were C4s?

Any thoughts on the Transpak as well? I have done 2 others in Fox body Mustangs and I like the shift points and downshifting.

Thanks

A C4 should have come in the car. The door tag will tell what the car was equiped with from the factory. The easiest way to tell what is actually in the car, will be to go underneath, and look at the trans pan. The shape, and number of bolts will be your confirmation.
I have used a transgo shift kit/rebuild kit before, but not a trans pak..

Should be easy enough, it's on the floor in the garage, thanks!
And thanks for the handy identification chart

C6: Bellhousing is cast integrally with the trans body.

C4: Bellhousing is separate piece, bolted to the main trans body.
