Upper red hose. Some kind of port to close/open water to the heater?
It seems to be vaccum regulated.
In what purpose, is it stock or after market?

Vacuum controlled valve that activates when car AC is on to prevent hot water circulation through your heater core. This valve in the picture is after-market, not original. I believe you will find a vacuum switch under your dash on the heater core plenum that is activated by a cable from the heater/AC control unit.

Thanks again, didnt investigate to much where the vac hose is attached, its ruted in front and under the airfilter. I assumed that it was connected there.
Now i know what it is and the reason.
