I can't tell if the side pieces are LOUVERS, or LAMPS. A tad to big for my tastes. Color isn't that bad, front rims appear to have WRONG back-set, IMO. I bet it gets lots of lookers though. I bet in the sunlight it really looks cool.

I think you're right, I just found this photo of a '66 Park Lane. My guess is it is ornamental and not functional.

Seems like I've seen some old Cougar concept drawings / models that had something similar to that. Maybe the owner was going for a "prototype" look?
