I have come to a crossroads...keep my old water pump(rebuild it) or just buy a new one. The price is reasonable enough but I don't know what effect it will have with the engine, a 4v 351 Cleveland. I know alot of you have rebuilt the same type of engine, so get back with comments on which way to go. Any other comments on what to do would be appreciated
Just get a rebuilt one. Chances are that yours has already been replaced at least once, so you aren't going to lose any originality there. Anyone who would bother to look at the date code on a water pump really is being petty.
