Keep breaking alternator belts on two different alternators. Made sure belts were tight, squeaking and then breakage.

yes ... make sure the V belt is riding on its sides not down in the bottom of the pulley.. also double check your new ones.. they could be the wrong width .. I'm assuming you have double and triple checked your pulley alignment.

Alternator belt problem solved. You need a lot of torque on belt. 1/2" or 1/4" flex on belt will not do. You hardly need any flex at all. No more squeaking or breakage.
