Just a few questions like how to go about it, do I jack up under the lca? to relieve tension on the coil? Would I be better of just pulling the entire U.C.A? If so how do I go about it? Am I going to need some special spring tensioning tool?

I usually put my jack stands under my frame rails and let the suspension hang. I recommend replacing the entire UCA. It is easier and nearly as cheap as rebuilding what you have. PartsGeek.com has the best prices I could find and shipping is cheap. The Dorman UCAs are pretty good quality.

To remove the spring, borrow a internal type spring compressor from your local parts store. Autozone and O'Reilly lend them out in my area. If it slips as you tighten it down, use a few pairs of vice grips to hold it in place. Be careful and keep it centered.
