Hello

I recently swapped out my alternator for a Powermaster 1 wire 150amp. Doing this I unplugged the stock wiring harness from the old alternator and voltage regulator and connected the new alternator straight to the battery negative and positive source. Now after starting the car, it will idle around 1,500 rpm when it used to idle around 600 rpm. I played with the fast idle screw on the carb but even with it backed out all the way it still idles high.

Any thoughts to what could be causing this? Thanks
