Hello,
I am writing to ask if anyone in your club may be interested in an 1989 Cougar LS. I know it’s a later model, but I thought I would ask.
It needs work mechanically, but the body is in good shape. I was driving it lightly (less then 5k/yr) until late August when it blew a head gasket. I do not have the ability to fix it up. I have an offer of $250 from a junk yard but I would take less if it was going to someone that would fix her up rather then part her out! It was my first car- bought in 1992 with 16,900 miles on it. She now has about 153,000, current PA inspection (through November) and had been emission exempt for the last several years. Garage kept since 2004.
If any one of your members may be interested, I would happily tell you everything I know about it – the good and the bad- like I said, I would love to pass her along to someone to fix up and love, so I want them to know what they are getting as best I can.
The car is located near Downingtown Pa and would obviously need to be picked up (she does still start and it has NOT over heated as long as I have owner her so I wouldn’t expect to find cracked pistons due to over heating.).
Please contact me via this email account. I am looking to transfer ownership within the next few weeks because of the cost of insurance and registration renewal.
Thank you,
Susan G
