Please help! While out shopping I realized that the hook inside my trunk (which locks my trunk when I use my key) snapped in half and now my trunk doesn't lock. I have been searching for the part online, but have no idea what its called! I have a 99 Cougar

I've got no idea what you'd call that.

Have you looked on Ebay ?
Or perhaps your Ford dealer could give you a part number or name for it.
