My 67 originally came with a 289. I plan on installing a 351W with performance parts and the resulting combination could possibly push out as much as 400HP. On the drivers side there is one torque box which has some rust. No torque box on the other side. I had the car looked at where I plan on doing the work and they recommended I re-do the original one and install a second torque box on the passenger side.
Any comments from those with high horsepower units? Good investment or not?

It is a good idea to install the second torque box. Mercury decided to install the second torque box on all 1968 and later Cougars. If it was not absolutely necessary they wouldn't have done it.
