I just bought a 67 XR7 that someone installed a MSD ignition system. It has a 289 4V and I need to know if the tach is a voltage triggered or current triggered. It seems as though I will be spending more to fix things that the previous owner did than anything else. Thanks

Yes, but it only goes up to about 600 rpm. There is a MSD tach adapter installed but I don't know how to rewire it unless I find out about the trigger for the tach. thanks.

I was in your postion many years ago. Tach is current triggered. But no matter what I did wiring up the correct MSD adapter, my tach NEVER worked right until...................

I got in touch with Rocketman and had him convert my stock tach to work with the MSD box and it has been flawless ever since.

FYI, Bob is in the process of moving his entire operation halfway across the country. So he's currently shut down for about two more weeks. It'll be WELL worth the wait.
