I know there are some members from sweden in this forum; We have imported a car from there, and there is a box installed in the engine compartment that has something swedish written on. There is also a cable leaving the box, and splits with the odometer cable. We thought it had something to do with the cruise control. But what is written on that sealed box. "FAR EJ UTSATTAS FOR SPOLNING" can some-one give me the translation?
Thanx

I don't speak any Swedish but it sounds like a cruise control box.

My dad says anyone who admits he is Swedish is a Norweigan for sure!

It's part of the distributor modulator system, or "Dist-O-Vac" . It's a emission thingie! I have a 26 page book from Ford telling more than I want to know about it!

Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary : Scavenge \Scav"enge\, v. t
To remove (burned gases) from the cylinder after a working stroke.
:D
"FAR EJ UTSATTAS FOR SPOLNING"
the word "SPOLNING" derives from the verb "SPOLA" meaning to flush or rinse in water.
The whole sentence goes "Do not rinse / flush in water" .

End of lesson ;)
