I don't want to strip the stud threads on the steering box, or the nut - since it's hard as hell to continue tightening it. Is there a tool that tightens it in place? I used a large clamp, but wouldn't budge it at all. I have about 1/4"+ to go. Thanks, Eric.

Eric,

Are you talking about the large nut on the pitman shaft to the pitman arm? Why is it tight? It should not be hard to tighten. If it is, the threads in the nut or on the pitman shaft are damaged and need to be repaired.

Regards,

Bob
