We are putting my repaired '67 Cougar back together and I need to purchase the Sound Deadening/Insulation materials for the whole car (thanks to the mice that destroyed the original material). Anyone have a good experience with purchasing a whole-car kit of sound deadening/insulation pre-cut material? I'm looking at the Acoustishield offered by Collectors Auto Supply. They appear to have a whole-car kit.

Read some of the reviews. Has Anyone Used AcoustiShield from Quiet Ride

Also, when installing be careful of this seal on the trunk dropdown. Make sure it's sealed good because there is a hole in the rear frame rail that lines up with that hole. It's only about 4.5 inches away from that seal. Water spray from the rear tires can get up there. I also would not cover it up with Deadening/Insulation.

If that seal leaks your going to get rust.
