Hello everyone, i've ask a few mecanics that don't know much about ford
trannies. So now i'm looking on the internet for answers. Let's say i'm on
a red light and i want to take off on overdrive, well alot of times my
tranny goes in neutral and after a bit of me pressing the gas the tranny
finally shifts in. I also get some resistance from the gas pedal when that
happens. Now i'd like to know if i'm the first one to get this problem so
they can tell me what to do.
thanks for the persons that will help me on this

shifting problems

I'm not a tranny guru but the first thing to do is replace the filter. If the fluid is dirty or there is clutch fragments in the pan the trans is probably on its way out. With risistance in the pedunds like you have a problem with your throttle cable that runs from the motor down to the trans. On an AOD this programs the transmission for the correct amount of fluid pressure to the clutches and if its not providing enough pressure it can burn your trans up it a short amount of time.
