I just picked up a '72 XR7 convertible in excellent original condition and setting about collecting info and some various parts. The drivers side rear view mirror vibrates when the car is idleing. The glass is snug inside the mirror housing and the housing is snug against the sheetmetal. It seems like the sheetmetal itself is the culprit.

Any one have this problem and have any tips to resolve?

Thanks.

Maybe you should see about smoothing the idle out. When idling, your car shouldn't be shaking anything unless you've done some engine modifications.
