I have the original owners manual for my car but it lacks when it comes to some more in depth maintenance for example spark plug gaps. Any one know where there is an electronic copy of a service manual for a 1968 that I could download or read online? I would even settle for a service manual just for the engine if there was one available for mustang or any other car that used the 302.

Any of the Cougar vendors should have Shop Manuals. Check page #47 in your owner's manual, bottom right corner has info on spark plug gaps.
