I am putting in new floor pans in my 68. I purchased new seat risers from MU. I see the old ones had a brace/support in the middle. Should I put something in the new ones? Can I purchase new ones? Do I just run with the taller Mustang risers or modify them?

Some risers have the reinforcements, some do not. The ones in my '69 convertible did not, the ones from my '69 HT parts car did.

As for whether to modify the height to be correct or not, it depends on whether the seat sitting higher is going to be a problem for you or not. For me (and I just noticed this), I could not tolerate the change as the (gigantic) steering wheel sits too low in my lap already. Something to consider.

Regards,

Bob
