I heard from Rick, and we decided to meet at the Les Schwab parking lot on Bradshaw Road at 11 am Saturday. Anyone is welcome to come watch for $10 and see what is involved in tuning a carb as well as drag racing. Or you can run your car for $50. Runs take place between 12 and 4 so come join the fun.
Sorry for the delays. I've been swamped lately at work.
We are definitely getting together this Saturday - should be fun.
I spoke w/Rick last night (THU) and he suggests we meet at the Les Schwab @ 10:30AM. He suggested this since he didn't know if there's anywhere to hold a meeting at the raceway. Anyways, the raceway is just around the corner from the tire center.
He says we can meet at the Les Schwab parking lot on Bradshaw Road since there are a few places we can go to hold the meeting and then head over to the raceway after that.
As Vinnie pointed out, it's $10 to watch and $50 to run your car. Runs take place between 12 and 4.

We all will be in the pit area, which is huge. Les Schwab is a small lot and I would not want to disrupt their business taking up spots for that long eventhough I do know the manager. I suggest we still meet at Les Schwab but have the meeting at the track. We all can be in the pit area and will have plenty of room.
Rick, I don't have your phone number but guess I will meet you at 10:30 instead of 11:00 at Les Schwab.
Hey, that Schwab is right around the corner from me, would you guys mind if I came down to meet you? I have been contemplating Joining the Stray Cats, but Right now I really don't have the time I would want to devote to any club (have to work every Sat and Sun).
Hey there Udu! Was that you going west bound on the 50 last night between 5:45 and 6 pm? If so I was in the whitish 70 cougar. Hope you can make the meeting. I will be there...hopefully running (knock-on-wood).
Good to see you guys. While the day seemed to be dominated by the large Chevelle turnout it was good to see a good group of Cougars. I was able to get 4 runs in before taking off with 3 runs breaking the 14.00 barrier. My best run was a 13.985 @101.4 mph which I was happy with running on 70 series street tires. The track didn't seem to have the VHT prep? I had not been out to the dragstrip on a Saturday for a while so I am not sure if that is the standard track prep now? Anyways good to see you guys running strong.
Was good to see you out there. Unlike you, my day was pretty frustrating. Did some work to my car and instead of going down under 14 like you I went above 15 . I was about ready to sell it all and take up knitting
Hopefully the next time I am out will be a better scenario. Taking the cat to the vet next week for some internal surgery. With help from Vinnie and a couple other friends we should be able to get the combo sorted out and balanced.
Hey, it was really awesome to meet you guys, thank you for being so hospitable, i wish I had the time to go check everything out at the track. Maybe next time. I will definitely be joining with you guys.
I have a 1969 XR7 and I am having a problem with the low fuel light staying on when there is gas in the car and the car is off. I actually have to disconnect the battery because the light will run the battery down. Obviously this is a electrical problem. If anyone knows the solution to...
