We're gunna do it again this year! Saturday August 13th is the date.....one weekend before the Woodward Cruise. This year's event includes a parade style car cruise to a local park. It's a nice diversion for the wives, kids, etc. We always pick a scenic route. We'll start to assemble around Noon and launch around 3PM+-. BYO everything and the grills will be hot.

Please call/e-mail adhead to let us know you're coming. We'll gather at my Valley View address, as always.

This is not a Cougar only venue and cars of lesser pedigree are welcome. Dan the Buick Man claims to have the show stopping trick up his sleeve.....

I'm in South Lyon. We have this event every year. There's nuthin' like a party to motivate you to clean the garage and put finishing touches on your car(s). Seriously, we're a group of friends that get together to drag our knuckles and drink some beer. We've had as many as 40-50 cars here at times. Cougars get priority parking spots as I am a Cougarholic. You should attend........it's always a good time.

My car won't be done this year hopefully next? But I am interested in people that might be local to get with and or cruise with once it is done. I have not been to a car show or cruise before so am keeping my eyes open. South Lyon? That is Detroit?

Here's some pictures and videos from past years. The audio on the videos is very low.

I was just on my way to Ray's bash, got about half way there and it started raining. Turned back around and went home. Sorry Ray, I hope not everybody wussed out like I did and hope it clears up for you. Now I'm waiting to for a few drops of sunshine so I can clean it up and put it away. Party on!

We had a scaled down version of theparty due to a few factors. It was fun nevertheless. The cops came to the cruise site destination.......not to bust anyone.......but to warn us of the hail and downed trees style storm heading our way. We never got the hail but it did rain a bunch. No spirits were dampened, however.

I wish it could have been better for you because I know you bust butt to put this thing on. Do you have any pictures you can share for us no-lives that couldn't make it, or in my case wussed out?

I'll see who took some.... In the mean time, we're meeting at 30369 W. Woodward tonight for the Pre-cruise. It's gunna be a beautiful night. The name of the place is Catherine's Pet parlor and it's right on Woodward between 12 mile and 13 mile. We'll be there at 6PM. Bring a lawn chair!

Thats great. Where along the cruise will you be parked.(Pontiac,Royal Oak,Ferndale?) My wife and I are planning on doing the Cruise on Saturday and wondered if you had any tips on the best area to go. We have never been.

I just canceled my parking spot with WCSX. I was told by the warden I can't go. Only because she was planning a surprise Birthday party for me, so I guess I have to be there. Oh well, I heard we might get some rain anyway.
a73cat are you going to be cruising or spectating? My guess if your going to spectate, myself I'd try to get somewhere between 12 mile rd. & 13 mile rd. Just my opinion. If your cruising GOOD LUCK! Sometimes your lucky to do 5 mph for miles. I've seen alot of cars overheat. Hope you like crowds, I think they said last year it was around one million people. You have to experience it at least once.

Thanks for the info. We will be cruising and hopefully find a car show to slip into and get a spot to park our butts. I know, I'm probably sounding too hopeful but like you said, you have to try it once. By the way, my wife hates crowds.
