So I put some new wheels on the 71 XR7 and guess what...... STILL HAVING THIS VIBRATION PROBLEM!!! So I replace the drive shaft and new tires and still having the issue, between 50 and 60 mph. I have no idea where to start. Im really thinking maybe the drums are causing this, seeing how they don't even work, maybe something is rubbing? I honestly have no idea whatsoever

When they balance the tires are they doing it on the car? Old fashion way but that way the rotors and drums are all balanced as well.

Make sure rotors are straight too. If they touch the pad while driving it can create a shimmy. In addition make sure your tires don't have flat spots in them. Beyond that make sure all your suspension bushings are in good shape with no slop. I had at one point a car that I could not get rid of the vibration at highway speeds and the last thing I checked was the wheels. They were bent. That was frustrating because that was the last thing I checked!
