If I recall correctly he beat the stang but broke out of his bracket. Ricks Cougar has a pretty tweaked 351 with 4.11's and an AOD. I believe he turns mid 13's and the car is absolutely beautiful. It is a real sleeper, and Rick has spent a ton of time and money on every detail. It is a shame that pictures cannot quite do it justice because every piece of chrome, trim and paint are near perfect.

Paul,
Was your friend Rick at the 2001 CCOA East Nats? If it's the car I'm thinking of you're so right about the chrome and trim. It had the most perfect grille I've seen on any '69. He was in the modified class if it's the car I'm thinking of.
EXTREMELY nice. I kept finding myself going over to look at it every time we walked by it. I'm not much of a modified guy but that car is done very tastefully.
