Well, for the last week I've had my license, now, I've got most of my car left, not real bad.
Anyway, I found out that one of the reasons the car handles so bad (besides suspension) is the parrellgram steering.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that makes conversions to rack & pinion, for a '67-70 Cougar. I haven't bought mine yet, but I'm workin on it.

There sure are. Cheapest I've seen a bolt-in rack&peanut kit for is $1100.00...

You can mod a Mustang II rack into a cougar chassis if you're competent with fabrication...

rack and pinion conversion

the conversion I have seen and read about is from Total Control.
they also have a front coil over conversion.
If anyone has seen the movie Gone in 60 seconds, then you have seen the complete coversion.....upper, lower control arms and the rack and pinion....the shelby (elenor) had it all done.
but like Logan said the rack conversion is about 1100.00

ok, so I've got to find a Mustang II,
Gone In 60 Seconds, the original was better, low budget, most of the cars didn't start out looking too good, so you don't get pissed off when someone wrecks one. The shelby clone in the new one at least looked good for a few minutes.
