well ive never used the vinyl ones to be honest. ive heard they arent hard to apply. just a soap solution that lets you move them around and they are moveable until you let them dry off. so you can make sure they are straight before you do that. personally, im not a fan of vinyl stripes. the ones on my car are painted on. granted, its not something the amatuer would usually do, but ill but it this way.... Autokrafters has an Eliminator stripe kit for around 150 (?). i did my hood stripes for an extra $26 when i painted my car. 20 for the white and 6 for the fine line tape to lay out the pattern. once again, thats kind of extreme, seeing as i painted the whole car at the same time. but its more permanent as well. i always have people run their fingers over the transition line between the gold and the white though. gets annoying fast.
