That was not the intent from the factory. A dealer could have added ram air.
What does the Marti say?

My 69 SCJ is a Q code with dealer added Ram Air. What was the build date of the car in question?

I have a letter form the dealer saying that they added the ram air. The reason I asked for the build date is that perhaps late in the model year, there was a transition period, not unlike late 69 428s with aluminum valve covers instead of chromed (which my 69 SCJ also has; it wa a 4-5/69 build).

My 1969 Cougar SCJ was built 5/29/69 and released on 6/02/69 and has the aluminum covers. My 1969 R code Cyclone CJ was built on 9/27/68 and released on 9/28/69 and has the chome covers
