Not my cherry. Cars like this do nothing for me. It was bought to be a race car. No one ever kept one stock like this. I would like it many times better the way it was raced back in the day.

Bill: It's possible that if it ran in Pure Stock, it might have looked essentially like it does now with very few obvious mods (jetting, clamps on leaf springs and driveshaft yoke).

Back in the early 70s I had a buddy that had a R code fairlane that looked much like this comet, He ran it in two stock classes one with the single 4Bbl and one with the Deal 4Bbls. I could have bought it from him for $1200 with both intake set ups. Shoulda coulda woulda...

I'm with Bill. This car fall squarely into the "cool for someone else to own" category. I would love to drive it once or twice, however.....
