Im about to be in the process shortly that i am going to restore my car and take my fenders off ect and living down here in florida rust can occure pretty easily

I was thinking of putting some type of protective coating on the car as much as i can cover pretty much and im trying to find out what would be the best product to use for something like that i have some of the rustoluem bedliner stuff which could work but im not sure how good it protects against rust

If you take anything down to bare metal you want to go with a good acid etch primer first, then topcoat that with whatever your desired finnish requires for a base. Plenty of good products out there, POR15 is one popular one for underbody/frame stuff....the bedliner stuff may be ok and help reduce noise too....but you may want to keep it away from hot areas!
