I am in the process of selling my 69' cougar right now and need help with a price. As of now the engine is out (351W) and was no good. Body is fair, some oxidation on the trunk and top drivers side panel, but other areas are like a mirror (astro-blue paint). Also there are a few small dings in the body (about the size of a nickel). Interior is decent, clean, black leather, one rip in the arm rest (drivers). Headliner is fine, just one small tear.

Other than that car is fine, just needs an engine. What would the price be as it sits vs. with an engine (302 or 351W)?

Hello Steve (if I may call you that). You appear to be new to the forum. Welcome! To get help with your question, you might consider posting pictures, telling us what trim it is (?XR7 given the leather, or standard), what options it has, is it an automatic or manual, and where in CALI you are located and contact info. Never know- someone on the forum might be interested...

Shot in the dark without pics or info- 2-3K???

Yeah jvs, im quite new to this forum :)

the model is a 1969 Cougar standard hardtop coupe with 351windsor that was rebuilt with performance parts, but engine has cracked cylinder head (looking for new engine, b/c rebuild is $1.8k and new 351W is $1.6k). Automatic, black leather, wood grain, aftermaket rims (15 in.), seats, eliminator spoiler, black hood stripe. Engine was rebuilt in the late 70's only adding performance parts due to rally races in the past. Car won many races.

I am located in the CA bay area, if anyone viewing would like to make me an offer for local only, no shipping, email me- [email protected]
but i would like to rebuild it 1st cuz its worth more running from what I have learned

here are some pics of my car. some are pics taken back in the 70's (same car) look through my profile to see all the updated images (exterior/interior). hood is off right now.

hope this helps :)

yeah I'm quite new thx :)

My cougar is was a base model hard-top coupe with 351W mod. w/ performance parts. Black leather interior, wood grain, automatic.

images: some are photos taken of the car in the 70's and it still looks like it b/c it was stored, but now has slight oxidation on parts, still shine in some. (look through my account for all the pics, interior/exterior)

if interested in the car I live in the bay area. my email----- [email protected]

From what I've heard the car is worth more running, but price varies on condition.
