I am considering converting to rack and pinion steering and want opinions on power vs. manual. I'd also like opinions on various manufacturers of conversion systems. Thanks, Jim

I have a manual Mustang 2 rack in a 34 Ford street rod. The steering effort is heavy even though I'm running 35 psi in the 205/60/15 tires on the front. It's a Mustang 2 front end. I added tubular upper and lower control arms and Carerra adjustable coil over shocks. I'll be adding a power steering reack soon.

If you plan on street driving this car at all, I'd suggest the power steering. If you dont you will remember this post when you are trying to turn around in a tight space. Been there, its no fun! Strictly a race car? --maybe different but I'm getting more spoiled as I age ;)
