Hiya,

Does anybody know how to remove a piston pin from the rod? Is that a job for a torch or is here an easier way? I've got new pistons and rods, but I'm not familiar with this "floating pin" thing.

Thanks,
Matthijs

Depending on your piston/rod combo, you may have to take it to a machine shop to have it heated for removal.

It looks like a stock 289 setup. However taking it to the shop might be a good idea, for I'll have to get some more things done anyway.

Thanks.

You should be able to remove them yourself if they have clips/locks. Otherwise you need a press. I wouldn't recommend heating them.
