Thanks but..

hey thanks John your always a big help. But the shift knob that I have is wood grain. It is round ball type. I posted a bad pic of it in the wanted section. but is it correct? or is the shift knob you posted correct? I have been told two different stories. I'll try to post pic HELP!!:confused:

The Blue Racing stripe knob IS the same as the 69 Mustang (but you KNEW that!!!! ) I've seen the woodgrain knob on earlier 67/68 Cats. Scott B has a 4 speed in his 69 428 SCJ XR-7 but it's a Hurst shifter, like the 70. Here's a standard 3 speed in a 69 XR-7 that I think is original.

Thanks Tim. the 3 speed looks very similar. So I think I'm on the right track when saying my woodgrain(was woodgrain) shifter is correct. Now I have to track down one thats not so worn.

BTW your vert is awesome, I'm in the process of restoring mine, I use a pic of your car on my desktop for inspiration. Thanks again
