I've got a number of door dings on the cougar and was wondering if anyone has tried having the "paintless dent removal" folks fix the problem. Having lubricated the manual window mechanism I know there is a rust inhibitor on the inside of the door skin and I also believe our cars were made with a thicker gauge steel as well - I'd think this would make removing the dents harder, if possible at all. As my paint is original and in very good condition, I don't want to do the body filler and paint routine. Cost would also be an issue. I've acually thought of getting a used door just to paint it and keep the original unmolested. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike.
