I want to replace the accordion dust boot and rubber ends while I'm under my cat fixing the exhaust leaks,do I have to drop the ram bracket to do this or can I just unbolt the end nut and turn the wheel till it moves free of it?I'll also be doing inner and outer tie rod ends and replacing my p.s hoses too while I'm there.

Just unbolt the nut and push the shaft back into the ram, put on new hardware and pull the shaft back through the bracket.

You don't have to remove the ram bracket from the frame rail. You just need to take the nut off the end of the shaft. The end of the shaft, under the retainer, has two flat spots. Use an open end wrench on these flat spots to keep the shaft from turning.
