for a 68 XR7 with a 390 and air. I think the original numbers are C7Wy18124A (front) and C7WY18125A for the rear. Autolite. Can anyone tell me if I am right? Then I will looking for an old non useable set, one front and one rear. I want to see If I can make a mold of the stamping on the shocks.

The Master Parts Catalog usually lists service replacement parts, not necessarily part numbers used during manufacturing. (especially on wearable items like shocks). I would not be surprised if there weren't shock listings for light and heavy duty, or standard suspension with small block and GT suspension with big blocks.

Here's a cut & paste from the 1975 version of the MPC. As Scott says, this is not necessarily the stampings you'll see on original, assembly line parts. Better info probably would be in the chassis assembly info book by Osborne.
