Hi Folks,

it takes "only" arround 15 years to
found "my" GT-E 427.

Most times i was second winner but now
i own my Musclecat a Cardinal red/ black XR7.

Bought in February, she waits boxed in a Container in Houston, ready to ship to Germany.
Shedules reads arriving Date August 21.

I have to do something on her, add the missing thermactor system, install correct 8track AM, some tlc at Paint and Interieur.

Have to say thank you for lot of help to Jim Pinkerton.

She will get place beside her little brother, a 68 J-Code.
Im very excited....

Yes, its the Utah Cat.
I bought a cat (pig) in a poke.

Get a lot of support from a close friend in PA,
he restored a GTE some years ago.

She is not perfect, i know. No comparison to the auctionated cat last year.
But she is what im looking for.
I like to restore her by myself.

Joe

PS.
If anybody have more informations about the Cat and its History
i would be happy to get a PM.

DIDO. I have never seen in person and don't know anything in particular except at one time I wanted it.

I'm looking forward to your future posts with nice pics of her all restored and with one of those funny license plates mounted.

oh oh, these funny plates are our raw point too.
we dont like it, especially because they are sized double
compared to us plates.
we call them griddles or snowpusher.

Sorry to say, but the cat was for sale in egay one
year ago and endet without one bid.
I bought it later, outside of ebay.

I thought for a moment that this was the bench seat GT-E that I had looked at back in 2006 when I purchased my 351 E-Cat. I was gonna say if it was then lucky you. Regardless though, congrats on the purchase!

The pictures show it is in great un-restored condition!

OK, I gotta ask - did you get a good deal on the car? $50K? More? We are all jealous.

[email protected] ;-)))

The seller told me the car was "restored???" many years ago. With the Car will come a lot of Papers,
Invoices, Fotos and so long. Must read these first and take a very close look to "her".
If "She" is not to bad i will keep her in this condition and give her only TLC.

Good or not good deal - first let me check all these small but important Numbers...
45 years are a long time...

I can tell you about the price i payed: for me it was acceptable ;-)

So long

Joe

PS. i add my actually Resto of a 67 Fastback GT in Signature.
This will happen if "she" is rusty

The Cat is in Germany.
At weekend we do the first 350mls Trip true the Mountains to Pullman City, a nice Theme Park.
The Car runs strong and is in good condition, better than espected.

Nice looking car, bet you're glad you finally have it !

How are the EU laws in Germany for cars ?
I know in Norway it can be difficult to import a car if it isn't stock, then you are not pernitted to modify them.

Did you have to convert the speedometer to kp/h, or is the car too old for that ?
