check this out my son built this independent front suspension from the heidts catalog and legos, he's been working on it for a week....one word AAAWWWWSSSSOOOMMMMEEEEE!!!!!

He's only 3 1/2 gotta love it!

You should look into some of those "master builder" sets for him! They probably make a car / dune-buggy set that would have working suspension, or maybe a "working" engine.
Start them young

yeah I know right, I was like "who helped him do this? for 3 days, but nobody fessed up. I definitely gonna have a father son project ready for him as soon as he's strong enough to swing wrench. Where can I find a Master Builder Lego set....I would love to see what he does with that...
