New owner of a 68. Great Site. I'm doing a disk brake swap and it was suggested that I also change over to a mustang lower control arm becasue the bearing setup on the strut was much better. Just wondered if it was worth the extra effort at the yard to do this. :1zhelp:

As far as I know, Mustangs and Cougars use the same front suspensions.

The rears are a little different since Cougars (at least in the 71-73s) use a rubber insulating sandwich around the rear spring where the axle mounts. This insulator lessens road noise/vibration. Mustangs mount the axle saddle directly to the spring. For performance work, you might want to get rid of the stock Cougar squishiness and go with the Mustang setup.

Proud of my squishiness!!

I've never heard that, but I think the bearings and everything are fine so if it is true I wouldn't go for it. I think they were the same on Mustangs and Cougars though.
