I am going to order a pair of Flow masters soon. I plan on running the exhaust straight out the back. Can anyone tell me which style offset would work the best?
I have used and installed many mufflers in my time. They all will work for you but style B will give you the most room for exhaust adjustment and clearance. Just my opinion.
I have style A Flowmasters on mine. When I originally went to the exhaust shop for an estimate, I had style B mufflers purchased. My bender suggested I return them and get A. He said, and I agree, that the offset outlet would dump too far to the outside. He would have to bend back toward the center while going over the axle then straighten out in time to clear the gas tank. Fastcat, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on style B's flexibility for adjustment.
