I'm looking for a 1970 Cougar coupé for restoration.

preferably a 4 speed manual.

preferably an Eliminator, but XR-7 or GTE are ok

color doesn't matter, neither interior

engine, suspension & brakes in good shape

Kind regards

I have a rare 1969 XR7 390 4 Speed (1 of 110) with factory sunroof (1 of 261).It has 20 options including A/C,PW,Disc Brakes and AM/FM. Its a So. Cal. car and shows 50k miles on it (Don't know for sure if that the correct milage). It is partially disassembled as I was getting it ready for bodywork and paint.I have $8,500 in it in the original purchase and parts and would sell if I can get that back.

thank you but I'm really looking fore a 1970, with the vertical frontlight covers and the nice curves on the side of the body.

Picture of a 70 and a 69

Very little difference between the two as far as curve of the body panels... the hoods are different and the grill are verticle vs horizontal...but from the side or rear hard to tell the difference unless side by side...As an owner of both...

I don't know how to edit or delete my original thread but, I'm looking for ANY 1970 Mercury Cougar, not just the XR-7 or Eliminator.
