My 68 has the 77 Granada front discs. What year master cylinder do you think I have? My master cylinder started leaking really bad. It is rusty and in real crappy shape. I need to replace it. I'm pretty sure the car was 4 wheel drum brakes before the conversion. What year and model master cylinder do you think I should get and if I take it off, how can I tell? Any ID numbers I should look for? What if the ID numbers are too rusted to read. Then what?

Thanks!

My car has the power conversion. I have a power booster. I just need a way to find out if my car was converted using a 68 power booster and master cylinder or 70's Granada stuff. So I don't think the manual Granada MC would work.

take it w/you and do a stare and compare...pay attention to the booster end. You will want a MC that is designrd for disc fronts if that's what you have. I would guess the 68 PB option will work but.....double check by eyeball!
