Hello,
I have a 1969 XR7 and I am having a problem with the low fuel light staying on when there is gas in the car and the car is off. I actually have to disconnect the battery because the light will run the battery down. Obviously this is a electrical problem. If anyone knows the solution to this problem I can use some insight please?

When you had the wires off the starter solenoid you put the prove out lead for the low fuel light back on the battery side of the solenoid. It should be on the starter side so the light only comes on when the starter is turning (to prove that the light actually works).
