I am driving my 70 vert more than I expected and would like to install lap-sash belts in the front. Has anyone here done this successfully? I would really appreciate photos and comments on what worked and didn't.

I have had inertia reels mounted in the rear window well of another coupe, then fixed a bracket to the top of the interior panel just behind the shut-line of the front door. However, this leaves the belt very low - actually lower than my shoulder. The Cougar has a high back, so I thought it may be possible to attach a bracket to the seat to guide the belt to a higher point, much like Leon did in his back seats (see: http://www.mercurycougar.net/forums/showthread.php?50401-Rear-shoulder-belts-in-a-70-convertible&highlight=seat+belt).

Thanks in advance.
