I am going to work on my 69 convertible. I have seen pictures of people putting jackstands sort of under the inner sides, not the outer sides, of the torque boxes. Can anybody tell me if this is ok to do? Thanks.

Yes, it's OK. They can be on the frame rail which is where the inner edge of the torque box is welded.

and of course, we are assuming u dont have rust issues hahaa. guy down the street put his cuda up on a jack stand and found the only spot that had rot apparently...fortunately, all it did was punch a hole in something he needed to replace anyway.

Thanks for the replies. The car is solid so no problem there. I also didn't want to say "frame rails" and get hammered!
